What is an average day with the national ski team like?
Breakfast is at 7:30am, followed by a morning training session. After lunch and some rest, we’re out training again. Then it’s dinner and some time for ourselves. Around 9pm, we have a meeting and supper before bed. The days fly by and we have a lot of fun.
How many days do you spend traveling?
Around 200 days a year. I barely have time to wash my clothes between trips – and they go straight back in the suitcase as soon as they’re clean.
Where do you travel in your leisure time?
I go to the mountains, preferably to Skeikampen, or to visit family.
How do you occupy yourself on the plane?
I listen to music, read or write. If we travel early, I might just go to sleep.
Where do you prefer to sit?
By the window.
Do you have any packing tips?
Use separate bags for different things so that you can find them easily.
You have a EuroBonus Gold card. Is that important?
Yes! It saves me time at the airport. I can take all my equipment with me and relax in the lounge. Having my tickets on my EuroBonus card gives me peace of mind, and the energy I save by not worrying helps me to ski better.
What is your goal?
To be best when it matters most, and to make the podium.
