Breakfast in Brussels

Whether you’re in for a day of business or pleasure in the Belgian capital, a hearty breakfast is always a great head start.

Le Pain Quotidien

The popular bakery-café has become a global phenomenon but it all started here. Founded in 1990, there are today no fewer than 10 locations in its hometown. The name means “our daily bread,” with organic bread and cakes served in a homey, rustic style – and it does a spectacular breakfast or brunch. You won’t leave hungry.

This lovely café and restaurant close to Brugmann Square toes the line between healthy and indulgent. They do breakfast, brunch (on Sundays) and lunch, with a menu based on what’s fresh that day. They also serve a range of organic pastries and cakes.

This deli-café’s motto is “good food, good mood.” A hearty breakfast is served daily from 7am and includes eggs, smoothies, pastries and pancakes, fruit and yogurt. The front terrace is ideal for people watching.
