Sægreifinn (The Sea Baron)

It may not look like much from the outside, but locals and tourists alike flock to this harborside hut for fresh fish and the famous lobster soup. You can sample scallops, cod, and monkfish kebabs. Strong stomach? Try whale or rotten shark meat.

Kaffibarinn

Known for being featured in the indie film Reykjavik 101, and for being part-owned by Damon Albarn of Blur fame at one time. It’s a cool place with good music, where you can mix with the beautiful people of Reykjavik.

This hip place has only been open for a year, but it already attracts some of Iceland’s hottest bands and DJs. You can hear everything from rock, dance and pop to hip hop.
