6 hotels worth the trip in themselves

Hotel buff Siri Løining gives us her top tips on hotels that are as exciting as the destination itself.

Yasuragi, Stockholm

Yasuragi is a spa hotel inspired by Japanese bath houses. Alongside the treatments on offer, there's also good food to be had. The hotel is home to several restaurants, such as Saishoku Vegan & Raw Food, the visually exciting Teppanyaki and a sake bar.

Soho Farmhouse, London

This is a country house for people who want the countryside to be just as luxurious and well equipped as a luxury hotel in one of the smartest areas of London. You can rent rooms or cabins here and all are beautifully decorated. A kitchen garden is planned and there are both pools and restaurants. If you fancy an ale or cider, you can visit the Mill Room 'country pub'. Or maybe watch a film at the Electric Barn Cinema, with its fabulous velvet-clad sofas and chairs. You need to apply for membership before booking. Soho has clubs in several countries.
