Breakfast at Baluard

Start your day with a delicious breakfast at the best bakery in town, Baluard. Or, better still, stay there during your visit and wake up to the scent of freshly baked bread each morning. Baluard is located in Hotel Praktik Bakery, a beautiful boutique establishment in the heart of the Eixample district, famous for its Gaudí structures.

Run in the hills

Go for an early morning run or walk in the hills above Barcelona. La Carretera de les Aigües, the “Road of the Waters,” is a 10km hillside trail with spectacular views of the city. Once a service road for water pipes, the trail is now popular among local mountain bikers and joggers. Located about 20 minutes from the city center, La Carretera de les Aigües is easy to reach by public transport.

Modernist marvels

Barcelona is renowned for its architecture, with Antoni Gaudí’s masterpiece Sagrada Familía being Spain’s most famous and visited landmark. But if you only have a few hours to spare, don’t spend them all on one monument. Stroll down boulevard Passeig de Gràcia and also marvel at the spectacular modernist and Art Nouveau buildings, such as La Pedrera and Casa Batlló.

Aina Joies is a local jewelry designer who makes beautiful gold and silver items for both men and women. Visit her little shop and pick out the perfect handmade piece of jewelry to suit your taste and wallet.

Ready for some real football?

Don’t miss the chance to see FC Barcelona play at the legendary Camp Nou. Get there early for pre-game drinks in the lounge area, or schedule a business meeting at the stadium a couple of hours before Leo Messi and his teammates enter the pitch.
