Best places to view sunset in Tromsø

Sunrises and sunsets are rare commodities in Tromsø. Which means you should make sure you’re in the right place when they first occur.

From 20 May to 22 July, Tromsø has midnight sun, while the polar night lasts from 27 November to 15 January. The sun neither rises nor sets in these periods. In other words, it’s a case of being in the right place at the right time.
