Cardinal Pub & Bar

If you’re a beer fan, this is the place for you. With over 600 beers, Cardinal has been voted one of the best bars in the world on several occasions. It also has a great atmosphere!

Bøker og Børst

Home to rows and rows of bars and cafés, Fargegata has become an almost iconic street in Stavanger. My personal favorite is Bøker og Børst, which has a fantastically charming and lively rear garden that is ideally suited to playing backgammon and chatting with friends. As the name (which translates into English as Books and Booze) suggests, the place is full to the rafters with books that you can also buy or swap. Saturday night is vinyl DJ night!

Cementen bar

A beautiful, relaxed bar that is renowned for hosting great music events. Cementen is the place to hang out with friends and, if you go to the back of the building, you will come to a fantastic pearl of a club. I will be playing a set there on 28 September, 2018.

Flor og Fjære

If you’re looking for somewhere to go that is a little out of the ordinary, Flor og Fjære is well worth checking out. After a short boat ride, you arrive at a small island full of tropical plants and trees, almost like a botanical garden in the middle of the fjord. The island also hosts a restaurant that uses locally-sourced ingredients and serves local dishes.

Bevaremegvel

I’ve fallen in love with the burgers they serve up here, and the fish soup is also out-of-this-world. Nice surroundings and top quality service.

Strandhuset Ølberg (Sola)

I recently discovered this gem of a place. Strandhuset is located in the beautiful heart of Jæren, a little beyond Sola beach. It’s something of a magical experience. Strandhuset also boasts an enormous wine cellar, with an exciting selection of vintages.
