Don't miss these hotels in Verona

This beautiful city, set by a river in the midst of vineyards is a worthy setting for Romeo and Juliet. Ironically, Shakespeare never visited Verona but fabricated sites such as Juliet’s balcony seem to attract tourists as much as the Romantic Arena. The Vinitaly wine show in the spring and Fiercavalli horse show in the autumn are two of Europe’s biggest events in these sectors.

Take a drink under the gazebo of the Winter Garden or on the panoramic terrace with its sweeping view of the city. Special packages available and pet-friendly too!

Hotel Gabbia d’Oro

This “gilded cage” on Piazza delle Erbe takes its name from an iron cage that was located here before the hotel opened its doors in 1900. The marble baths, Venetian stucco, lace, brocade and exposed brick create an alluring ambience, while an interior garden supplies fruit and herbs to the elegant restaurant. The hotel will also help you arrange personal itineraries, notably those with a botanical bent.
