Kimpton Everly Hotel, Hollywood
A great place for first-time visitors to the city, just a stone’s throw from the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame. The hotel is also close to Hollywood Hills and the Griffith Observatory if you fancy taking an early walk. Or, if you’re short of time, just ask for a room overlooking the Hollywood sign. In the lounge-like lobby, you can enjoy live entertainment or shoot a few rounds of pool. Don’t forget to visit the bar and swimming pool for night-time views of LA.

Palihouse West Hollywood
Boutique hotel with large suites and dreamy loft-style apartments, all with a homey feel with old-style décor and vintage furniture. The courtyard dining area resembles a French bras-serie but the menu is all Californian. At sunset, head to the lush rooftop bar for great cocktails and a 360° view of the West Hollywood Hills. Palihouse is great for exploring attractions including Melrose Avenue, Beverly Hills and Sunset Boulevard.

Firehouse
As the name suggests, Firehouse was once home to Engine Co. No. 17, a bona fide firehouse remodeled into a hotel with individually decorated rooms that feature soaring ceilings and artistically tiled bathrooms. Echoing the solid brick building’s history, there’s a non-trendy sense of old-time charm here. The hotel is located in the part of downtown LA known as the Arts District, brimming with galleries and art institutions.
