The tiny streets around Sa Gerreria used to be Palma’s craft making district. There was a street for every trade and Corderia was the basket makers' street. There are not many traces of this today, except for this fantastic little store, which sells hats, beach bags, lampshades and everything else that can be made of straw. A must if you want to take some traditional, ancient Mallorcan craftwork home with you.
