Nice - Côte d’Azur - Ramble through Roman history
Nestled in the hills between Nice and Menton, the historic town of La Turbie is dominated by the Trophée d’Auguste, a 35m high Roman monument. Numerous trails snake through the area’s 742 hectares, offering both easy and more advanced hiking. There are dazzling views, stretching from Italy to the Esterel Massif.

Faro, Algarve - Dizzy heights
Varandas Sobre o Mar is one of many trails in the area. It starts at Barranco das Canas Beach and ends at the João de Arêns promontory, taking in fields, forest, and some slightly scary cliffs. Bikers also love this trail, so keep an eye out behind you.

Santorini - Sea views and quaint villages
Not exactly a secret, but still worth the time. While walking this trail from Fira to Oia, you’ll be torn between gazing at the sea or the volcano. You’ll also pass through four extremely charming villages, giving you the chance for some refreshment.

San Francisco - Journey to the Golden Gate Bridge
A moderate trail that you can easily extended along the Coastal Trail to the Golden Gate Bridge. There are great views of the bluffs near the Presidio, and a side trip down to Marshall Beach will leave you refreshed.

Bristol - View Brunel’s masterpiece
This national nature reserve has both hard and soft paths spread over more than 160 hectares, as well as eye-popping views of the Clifton Suspension Bridge. It’s nearly impossible to get lost in here, and even if you do, you might be lucky enough to stumble upon the Rock Slide, a stone slope polished to a glassy finish by generations of sliding bottoms.

Pisa - Walk in Puccini’s footsteps
Once home to Puccini, this remarkably unspoiled coastal reserve is twinned with Long Island’s Pine Barrens. They share similarly diverse ecosystems, including wet woods, coastal dunes and prairies.
