Swimmer Sarah Sjöström’s dream destinations
Lyon
One of the gastronomic capitals of the world with an excellent culinary offering. It’s also a lovely city that’s easy to get around. Every year, La Fête de Lumières sets Lyon awash with light, and it’s well worth seeing.
Rome
Rome has something for everyone. Interesting history, great shopping, and fantastic food (although it’s worth doing your homework on where to eat before going there). Personally, I always enjoy going back to the city where I won my first World Championship gold medal in 2009.
Dubrovnik
Walking along the walls of Dubrovnik is super cool and fun – even though I did it in the pouring rain. It’s also great discovering the city and feeling like you already know it because you recognize so many of the locations from Game of Thrones.
