Workout expert Lofsan's favorite Stockholm gems
Lovisa "Lofsan"Sandström's job includes giving lectures, writing books, blogging and she also has her own podcast called Träningspodden (The workout pod). He owns her own gym at Södermalm and an online business for personal coaches. On top of all of that, she enjoys playing video games and likes to buy whatever is new on the market.

Healthy at Hornsgatan
Hälsocafét, a vegan café in Södermalm is, if you ask me, Stockholm’s best restaurant for healthy food. The café is owned by a couple of girls who have a passion for cooking and serving food that is good for the environment, using mostly organic products from small and local farms. They have awesome healthy salads and I can stand drooling over the pastries all day long.

Meet the Swedes
“Nya Tanto” also known as Södermalm’s Riviera is a great place if you want to work out, have fun or take a swim in the Mälaren lake. Here you’ll find a large outdoor gym, cafés, minigolf, hotdog stands, a beach, palm trees, a diving platform, a long dock with a climbing wall and a sauna. This is a must for the tourist who’s visiting Stockholm and wants to hang out with people living in Södermalm.

Work(out) your way to the top
Not everyone knows that Stockholm has several ski slopes where you can work on your carving skills. One of them is Hammarbybacken, which actually organizes a world cup race once a year during the winter. It’s also Stockholm’s best spot if you’re into scenic views and offers a nice way to challenge yourself. The summit can be reached all year around and once you’ve reached it you’ve already managed a good workout too. Be sure to bring the camera!

Rent a canoe
If you want to explore Stockholm in an active way you can rent a canoe or kayak and experience our town from the water. A good place to rent from is Brunnsvikens kanotklubb. Besides the boat itself, a life jacket and paddle are included in the price. This is an activity for everyone and a short introduction can be given to those who have never done it before. I would go out and see Hagaparken, it’s beautiful.

All in one place
Sickla Köpkvarter is one of Stockholm’s many shopping malls and this is one of the best. It’s not like your regular shopping mall and there are plenty of activities for the whole family. You’ll find many small boutiques, a climbing wall, bars, cafés and a cinema. Be sure not to miss the best smoothies in town at Naked Juice Bar.
